Why DrBNB?

Most Hosting Advice Is Either Too Vague or Trying to Sell You Something

You’ve probably read the same Airbnb tips recycled across fifty different blogs. “Take better photos.” “Price competitively.” “Respond fast.” Great. Thanks. But none of that tells you what’s actually going on with your specific listing in your specific market. And then there’s the other end. Expensive coaching programs, property management companies that want a cut of your revenue, or consultants who charge by the hour to tell you things you could’ve figured out with a bit of guidance. Most hosts don’t need any of that. They need someone to look at their listing with fresh eyes and say “here’s what’s wrong, here’s what to fix, here’s the order to do it in.”That’s what Dr BNB does. Nothing more, nothing less.

We Built This Because We Needed It Ourselves

Dr BNB didn’t start as a business idea. It started because we were hosts dealing with the same problems you are. Listings that performed well for a while and then quietly dropped. Bookings that dried up with no obvious explanation. Tweaking things randomly hoping something would stick. We spent a lot of time studying how Airbnb’s search and ranking actually works. Not the surface-level blog post version, but the real patterns. What listings consistently show up at the top? What do they have in common? What makes a guest click one listing over the twenty others on the same search page? And why do some listings with average photos outperform ones with professional photography? The answers weren’t always what we expected. And once we started applying what we learned to our own properties, things changed. Not overnight, but measurably. That’s when we realized this stuff should be easier for every host to access without paying thousands for a consultant or spending months running their own experiments.

What Makes Dr BNB Different

We’re specific, not generic. We don’t give you a list of “best practices” and wish you luck. Your listing gets analyzed against real data points, your actual market, and your direct competition. The recommendations you get are for your property in your area, not some one-size-fits-all checklist pulled from a hosting blog. We show our work. When we tell you to change something, we explain why. Not “your title needs improvement” but “your title doesn’t mention [specific amenity] that the top five listings in your area all highlight, and guests in your market filter for it.” If you understand the why, you make better decisions going forward. That matters more than any single fix. We don’t need access to your account. This is a big one. We never ask for your Airbnb login. Everything we do works from your public listing URL. You keep full control. We give you the diagnosis and the prescription. Copy, paste, done. Or adjust it however you want. Your listing, your call. We think like the platform, not like a marketing agency. A lot of listing “optimization” services treat Airbnb like it’s Google. It’s not. Airbnb ranks you based on guest behavior. Do they click, do they book, do they stay without problems, do they leave good reviews? Our analysis is built around those signals, not keyword stuffing or gimmicky copywriting tricks.

Who We’re Actually For

Dr BNB is for regular hosts. The person who owns a house, a condo, a spare room, maybe two or three properties, and is trying to make this work without hiring a property manager or spending every weekend reading hosting forums. You might be a new host who wants to set things up right from the start. Or maybe you’ve been at it for a year or two and your bookings have hit a wall you can’t explain. Or you’re doing fine but have a feeling you’re leaving money on the table and just want someone to confirm it or tell you where. We’re not for hosts who want someone to manage their property. We don’t do that. We’re not a co-hosting service or a property management company. We’re the doctor. You come in, we diagnose the problem, we write the prescription, you go home and take the medicine. If you need surgery, we’ll tell you that too, and point you in the right direction.

What We Believe (Without Getting Preachy About It)

Small changes compound. Most listings don’t need a total overhaul. They need five or six targeted fixes that each move the needle a little. A better title gets you more clicks. Better photos convert more of those clicks into bookings. A cleaned-up fee structure stops guests from bouncing at checkout. Stack those up and your calendar starts filling in. Data beats guessing. We’ve watched hosts spend months tweaking things based on gut feel when ten minutes of actual analysis would have pointed them to the problem. Gut feel has its place, but so does looking at what’s measurably working and what isn’t. Hosts deserve straight talk. We won’t tell you your listing is great if it isn’t. We won’t pad the report with compliments to make the criticism easier to swallow. If your photos are the problem, we’ll say that. If your pricing is scaring people off, we’ll say that too. Polite, but direct. Like a good doctor.

The Tools and the Team

Our analysis engine is built on real patterns from thousands of listings across different markets. It’s not a simple checklist tool that gives everyone the same score. It looks at your listing in context, how it compares to what’s around it, what guests in your market respond to, and where the gaps are.Behind the engine, there are actual humans who host, study the platform, and keep the analysis updated as Airbnb changes things. And they do change things. Regularly. What worked in 2023 doesn’t always work now, and what works in Miami doesn’t always apply in Montana. We stay on top of that so you don’t have to.

Still Not Sure?

Run the free checkup. Takes two minutes. Costs nothing. If the report tells you something useful, great. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost nothing but a couple minutes. But most hosts who run it find at least a few things they didn’t know were hurting their listing. And that alone is usually worth it.
